Better, safer streets: Cllr. Ann Rowland-James and Jacqui Hooper are pleased that work is progressing on Station Road’s improvement scheme.

In Llandaff North Focus #51, we reported plans for a series of 'build-outs' on junctions to prevent dangerous parking and improve visibility.

Since then, resurfacing of the main road has begun. The build-outs are due to be installed shortly, and the whole scheme will be finished by the summer.

The changes have been welcomed by local resident, Jacqui Hooper. Jacqui told us: "This has made a big improvement to the village. I am looking forward to completion of the project."

Action on speeding traffic: Cllr. Ann Rowland-James is calling for speed restrictions by Hawthorn Junior School.

The Llandaff North Focus Team have also been hearing from residents in Hawthorn Road who are very concerned about the speed of traffic passing the school.

Local Lib Dem councillor, Ann Rowland-James (pictured below), has asked the council's Highway Dept to consider installing speed bumps on the road to help reduce traffic speeds.

Any developments will, as always, be reported in Focus.
