Llandaff North Focus Team in graffiti crackdown12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 24th Jul 2007
Liberal Democrats in Llandaff North ward have been cracking down on graffiti in the area over the last few weeks. Local Lib Dem councillor, Ann Rowland-James, was concerned to see new graffiti springing up in parts of the ward, with the Mynachdy area being particularly badly-hit. As a result, Ann has been noting and reporting incidences of graffiti so that they can be cleaned by the council where possible. Ann told us: "Residents are understandably concerned about offensive graffiti, and I want to do what I can to help them by getting it removed where possible. If any residents has a piece of graffiti near them which they want removing, they can contact me and I'll do all I can to help."
Mynachdy resident, Jacqui Hooper, said: "Ann's hard work on this has made a big difference already. It underlines what residents know already - our hard-working Lib Dem councillor is effective at tackling the issues which matter to us."
