Listening to residents’ views on parking: Cllr. Ed Bridges and Cllr. Cathy Pearcy want a workable solution to Gabalfa’s parking congestion problems.

Cardiff Council has agreed to listen again on the issue of parking arrangements for Gabalfa ward.

Residents had expressed concerns over the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) plan at recent public meetings, and the council will now examine other options to address parking congestion.

Cllr. Cathy Pearcy said: "Clearly there are parking issues which need to be addressed in the area - but that has to be done with the backing of local residents."

Cardiff North's Lib Dem Assembly candidate, Ed Bridges said: "We've tried to represent the people. The original consultation showed a majority of residents backed the scheme. It seems that is no longer the case, and I'm happy to listen to the will of the people on the issue. The council will now look at alternative solutions."
