Gabalfa ward refuse changes

September 1, 2011 12:00 AM

From 12th September, rubbish collections in Gabalfa ward will change.

Our rubbish will now be collected on Wednesday, with food waste (brown caddies) and dry recycling (green bags) collected every week.

Local campaigner, Gareth Holden, said: "Garden waste, in the green bins and white bags, and black bags and bins, will be collected on alternate weeks. This will help to drive up recycling rates."

Cllr. Ed Bridges added: "For a weekly text reminder of what rubbish to put out each week, just text "tidy", your house number and post code to 60066."

For more information, ring Connect-2-Cardiff on (029) 2087 2087. Households with young children in nappies or similar hygiene needs can also contactC2Cto ask for a weekly collection.
