Local Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for repairs to the 'wobbly bridge' over Bute Park near Blackweir.

The bridge, linking the Taff Trail with Pontcanna Fields, is owned and maintained by Cardiff University - but for many years has needed repairs to make it more stable.

Lib Dem Welsh Assembly spokesman for Cardiff North, Matt Smith, said: "Lib Dem councillors for the area have asked council officials to formally request that the university carries out work to make this well-used bridge more sturdy."
