The Heath Focus team are investigating complaints from residents who have received Fixed Penalty Parking Fines whilst visiting Heath Park.
Councillor Fenella Bowden has written to VINCI, who manage the Barrack Square car park under contract with the Council, to highlight the inadequacy of the pay and display signage. Residents visiting the park are entitled to 3 hours free parking, but are required to take a ticket from the machine and park in the yellow bays. Fenella said "This has clearly been a problem. There is too much small writing on the signs and the fact that you have to take a ticket for free parking can easily be missed".
In the meantime Fenella is appealing a Fixed Penalty Fine on behalf of a local resident.
