Save our lane!

July 7, 2010 11:15 AM

Local residents are fiercely opposing plans to privatise a lane in Ty Wern Road. An application has been lodged to take over the ownership of the lane that joins Ty Wern Road with Thornbury Close. As well as the issues of noise and over development of the site, residents are appalled that they may lose their right to walk through the lane which has been there for over 40 years.

LOCAL OPPOSITION

The Focus Team have condemned the proposals and are urging residents to support their campaign to get the lane formally registered as a Public Right of Way. Cllr. Fenella Bowden said: "We are appalled by this opportunistic plan by the developer, and will work to preserve this important part of the local history."

Local campaigners, Katrin O'Malley and Cllr. Fenella Bowden, are supporting an application from residents for a Public Right of Way at Ty Wern Road laneTo add your voice to the campaign, get in touch with Fenella for a form to demonstrate use of the lane and return it to her as soon as possible. The Focus Team will be keeping residents in touch with progress.
