Cllrs. Cathy Pearcy and Ed Bridges have persuaded Cardiff Council to remove some of the double-yellow lines on Allensbank Crescent, to ease local parking congestion.
As part of the Gabalfa Lib Dem Focus Team's continuing efforts to make parking easier in Gabalfa ward, the double yellow lines by the Scout Hall in Allensbank Crescent will shortly be removed.
The lines had historically been there to allow vehicles to turn when accessing the Western Trading Company warehouse. However, with the warehouse no longer being used by heavy goods vehicles, residents suggested that it might make sense to free the area up for car parking.
Cllr. Ed Bridges said: "Following an unsuccessful application to convert the warehouse last year, and with no sign of any future permanent plans for the building, it made sense to get rid of the parking restriction to ease local parking congestion."
