Local Lib Dems have welcomed news that the 37 bus, which serves Mynachdy and Gabalfa Estate, has been taken over by a new operator.
Cardiff's Liberal Democrat Council has taken action to improve the 37 bus service which serves Mynachdy, Gabalfa Estate and Llandaff North.
Following a poor record of service, the Council has terminated its contract with the previous operator and asked a new company to take over the subsidised service. It is hoped that this will make the service more reliable and improve use amongst local residents.
Local resident and Lib Dem councillor, Cathy Pearcy, said: "This will hopefully mean we once again have a reliable bus service in Mynachdy. What's important now is that residents use the service so its long-term survival can be assured."
Llandaff North councillor, Ann Rowland-James, added: "This is a vital community route, and I hope the new service will be more reliable."
