John Dixon and Ed Bridges have slammed Gordon Brown for playing politics with British democracy.
Local Liberal Democrats have criticised Gordon Brown for 'spinning his way' out of an autumn General Election.
Local activist, John Dixon, told www.cardiffnorthlibdems.org.uk: "Gordon Brown has lost his nerve. After claiming to be a conviction politician, he has shown that he is the opposite. Labour know the game is up, and they're desperately trying to spin their way out of trouble."
Gabalfa councillor, Ed Bridges, added: "Gordon Brown has shown contempt for the British public. By creating and fuelling election speculation and then changing his mind when things looked bad for his party, he has put party considerations above the needs of the country. It shows what the Lib Dems have been saying all along - the Westminster government should operate on fixed electoral cycles like the Welsh Assembly rather than being run at the whim of a Prime Minister."
