Cllr. Michelle Michaelis is encouraging residents to get a free fire safety check.
It's not often that you get offered something for nothing, but this is a genuine promotion that could save your life!
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service is offering all homeowners a free home fire safety check, which entails a visit by a fire officer to your home to check on whether there may be a risk of fire. Not only that, but they are also offering everyone free smoke alarms, complete with the latest type of battery, which will last for ten years. Fitting is also free of charge.
Cllr. Michelle Michaelis said: "Security and peace of mind are so important, and I would recommend anyone to take advantage of this offer before it finishes. This is a really good initiative, and I hope people take full advantage of it."
